Visually Impaired
We are a small staff of researchers and special educators who work for the Oregon Institute on Disability and Development, a program of the Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, Oregon.
- We specialize in developing effective assessment and teaching strategies for children and adults with low-incidence disabilities.
Dolphin created one of the first screen readers in 1986. They mission is to deliver independence to people with visual and print impairments worldwide. They offer products like screen readers. large print keyboards, simple talking computers and Easyreader.

Physically or Otherwise Health Impaired
Wayne-Westland Community Schools operate the Wayne RESA Western Region Physically or Otherwise Health Impaired (POHI) Outreach program. This program is designed to meet the needs of special education eligible students who have significant educational issues due to their physical impairment.
